It has been shown that you can increase Adsense CTR by placing the Adsense code into your actual posts. The problem you have is Google only allows 3 blocks of ads per page.
I was looking for a plugin that would allow me to ad the Adsense to my post and I found
Adsense Injection.
Adsense Injection plugin just takes a random paragraph break in your article and inserts adsense code. It does one per story. It lets you pick how many total ads to do (0-3) and it lets you pick the formats and colors you want it to randomly select from.

WordPress is of course an awesome blogging script but there’s a
serious flaw in its pinging system which can make your blog
banned.
In fact, if you are using wordpress blog for a long time then
your blog might have been banned and you don’t even know about
it.
I just found the Post Schedule Ping Optimizer Plugin for Word Press.
It will ping when you add a new post.
It will not ping when you edit or update a post.
If you future date a post, it will not ping until the post becomes active.
Download your FREE copy of Post Schedule Ping Optimizer Plugin right now!

Comment spam is a fact of life if you have a blog. But by using WordPress, you have not only some good built-in tools at your disposal, but also some excellent plugins and methods you can use, which are constantly being developed. Please do not think that you can ignore the issue of comment spam – you cannot! There is no ‘one size fits all’ method that will protect your comments; spammers use many tactics. So you will need multiple defences. Remember too that spammers change the way they attack so you must keep whatever your install up-to-date. Each plugin will have a link to the author’s site – use it!
This page represents all currently-known **tested** methods available to protect your site but check the Support Forums (http://wordpress.org/support/) for updates.
